Quality Engineer - Bristol


RHC Lifting Limited is in search of a dedicated Quality Engineer to contribute to the continuous development and improvement of our design, fabrication, and installation processes, with a special emphasis on overhead cranes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality lifting appliances.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of quality management systems for overhead crane projects and lifting accessories.
  • Participate in the design review process to ensure quality considerations are adequately addressed.
  • Work closely with the fabrication and installation teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Conduct quality audits, inspections and tests according to industry standards and company policies.
  • Analyse data from quality checks to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support in addressing client concerns related to product quality take overall responsibility for the NC capture, RCA and Action plan implementation.
  • Maintain documentation of quality assurance activities and create reports for management review.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HNC or HND in an engineering subject, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in the lifting appliance industry.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control techniques.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficient in the use of statistical analysis and quality improvement tools.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Crane Service Engineer - Southampton

RHC Lifting designs, manufactures, supplies, installs, services and maintains overhead gantry cranes, hoists, vacuum lifting devices, jib cranes and general lifting equipment across the UK. Since the start of our business in 2001 we have developed a strong team focussed on the delivery of high quality services and have forged strong relations with specialist partners.

We are currently looking to recruit a full-time crane maintenance / installation engineer to be based in the Southampton area, although some UK-wide travel may be required from time to time.

The successful person will be involved in attending breakdowns, servicing, installation, testing and commissioning of overhead gantry cranes and associated lifting equipment.

To be considered for this opportunity you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of carrying out preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment including troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
  • Electrical engineering experience with a good understanding of three-phase control systems is preferred.
  • Mechanical engineering experience of medium to large motors, electro-mechanical brakes and reduction gearboxes is preferred.
  • Experience of PLCs and inverter control systems is preferred.


For the right person, we offer competitive rates of pay, a company van, 25 days holiday, company uniform and PPE. Standard hours for the role are 40 per week. The is the opportunity for overtime and the successful candidate will be required to participate in the on-call rota for reactive breakdowns.
